Note: Although rhodium platting helps to prevent the jewelry from getting scratched as easy as sterling silver due to its hardness.

Never use any polishing cloth or coarse cloth that will remove the rhodium plating protective layer. If the rhodium plating is removed, the jewelry will turn dark (tarnish) and losses its shine. You may need to ask a jeweler to help you do a re-plating of rhodium on the jewelry which can cost up to $60 – $80.

Always remember to be gentle with your jewelry, like the tender skin of a baby you can scratch it if you aren’t careful so don’t rub it too briskly.

Warning: Never use silver dips or any chemical agent to remove oxidation from your silver jewelry. These chemicals will leave small tiny pits that will cause your jewelry to turn dull and darken faster.

Don’t ever place your Rhodium Plated Jewelry in an ultrasonic cleaner! You will uncoat the protective later and damage the Jewelry!

Do not allow your jewelry to be in contact with ammonia-based products as it will remove the protective layer.

Good Practice: Preventative care is the key to ensuring your Precious Jewelry stays sparkly as long as possible. Storing your jewelry in a closed box or dry cabinet is always good. Most metals, including precious metals such as silver and gold, will turn back over time (tarnish) when exposed to air and water.
